About Safiya Haadia

I am an artist, writer, and educator living in the Philadelphia area. I am also homeschooling my eight year old daughter. I have taken time off from working with pre-schoolers to finish the The Baobab Basket, the first in the series of novels for young people.

Currently I am also working with Muslimah movies, a film company in Los Angeles, in order to make The Baobab Basket series into a feature-length film. Khadijah, the founder of the company, is currently seeking funding for the project. Please contact her for more information.
